For their 50th anniversary Zakspeed starts with two racing cars in the „league of super sports cars“. The successful cooperation with BKK Mobil Oil will be continued. A familiar face returns to the Zakspeed cockpit.
For the Team from Niederzissen 2018 will see the deployment of two Mercedes GT 3 ́s, in the ADAC GT Masters series. Therewith the successful collaboration with BKK Mobil Oil continues into its fifth year. The Team will take to the start under the name „Team Zakspeed BKK Mobil Oil Racing“.
After the mixed season in 2017, together with BKK Mobil Oil, they have set the course for reaching the title again in 2018 during the winter. The choice of drivers underlines this claim. With Luca Stolz, last years newcomer and returnee Sebastian Asch, Zakspeed can already present two prominent names.
The other two driver’s seats will soon be occupied. The objective is to have both cars being able to achieve victories with their respective drivers.

Mario Heise, CEO of BKK Mobil Oil, is also looking forward to the new season. He is especially pleased about the positive development of the ADAC GT Masters in the recent years and the continuation of the successful collaboration with the team around Peter Zakowski.

Sebastian Asch is also looking forward to the new season. For him, the return to Zakspeed for the 50th Anniversary of the company is something very special. „Even my father Roland could celebrate great successes with Zakspeed and I’m burning to fight for the title with Zakspeed again. I look forwards to the renewed cooperation.“
The anticipation for the new season is equally strong for Luca Stolz. The young Westerwälder is proud to be joining the team from Niederzissen for the coming year from behind the wheel. He also highlights the tradition of the racing team and looks forwards to the new season. „I’m happy to be back in the ADAC GT Masters in 2018 for a traditional team like Zakspeed and their strong partner BKK Mobil Oil. Peter and his team always do a great job. This year the mission is called the title win.“
Peter Zakowski agrees with his driver. He says „Of course we want to fight for victories and the title this season as well. The goal must be to get the title back to the Eifel after 2015“.
The ADAC GT Masters has a total of 14 races, split across seven race weekends. The races take place in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The series starts with the opening race in Oschersleben on the weekend of the 13th to 15th April 2018.
